Thanks Pranay for informing us about the confusion that can be caused if someone hears 'later' as letter.

There is another word 'latter' that has a pronunciation similar to letter. Check its meaning and pronunciation and post the information for others. If each one of you does not share the new info you have gathered, you will learn less.

Latter is often used along with 'former'.

SARDAR:- ek sardar apne marrige certificate ko bahut der se dekh raha tha.
WIFE:- utne me uski wife ne pucha tussi inni der se kya dekh rahe ho ji.
