Dear Students,

Before posting anything on the forum, check it for spellings using MS Word and for pronunciation using Word Web. Also show it to your friend or the person sitting next to you and mention the friend’s name in the post.

Be specific in your post. Do not just state that you are weak and that you need help. We will be unable to help you if you do not pinpoint the things in which you lack.

All those submitting posts with spelling mistakes will have to submit another post with 5 words used in sentences of their own. They will also have to give the meanings of these words.

Who will point out the mistakes? We will leave it to the fellow students to point out the mistakes in the posts. This is a forum to exchange views and problems that have not been exchanged in your regular sessions.

Students who make the most corrections will be rewarded for their efforts
lol!

How to write on forum Empty Some more tips on how to write on forum

The Online discussions are becoming interesting!

Students are posting topics that they consider important and are also criticizing each other. They have also started asking each other for suggestions and are getting responses. We want this to happen since one learns best from and among peers.

You also have to realize that it is not possible for your teachers to reply to every query. It becomes the duty of every person visiting the forum to correct the mistakes he sees in the posts. This way many more queries will get answered. Try to correct the grammatical mistakes before you correct spellings.

However, some of the criticism is not in the right spirit and we hope that you will take care to use language that not only does not offend anybody but also prompts the other person to react positively to the criticism or suggestion. Settling scores on a forum meant to improve your language skills is not a good idea.

The forum is for you and we would prefer to hear your original thoughts. However, if you want to share thoughts from a book that you found useful, you should try and give the source of your sentence or paragraph so that others can also benefit. The source can include the name of the author and the title of the article or book.
