Instead of "He then run--- the house", the phrase should be " He then ran--- the house

INSERT PREPOSITION Empty preposition revision

Are 'and', 'cause' and 'due' prepositions? If no, use a preposition. If yes, use another in their place.

Another correction- 'blood stained mouth'; what is the meaning of satin?

simple prepositions- on, at, to, from, for, to, under, above, after, by, over
compound prepositions- within, without(i.e. outside), before, beside
double prepositions- from within, form without, from above, up to, out of
participal prepositions- during, concerning , regarding, saving, including
adjectival prepositions- worth, like

INSERT PREPOSITION Empty repitition of mistakes

Post  centrehead Thu Mar 06, 2008 4:56 pm

Please read all the previous replies carefully before posting your reply.

Otherwise, you will keep repeating the mistakes made by your peers.

To use the right preposition, you will have to pay careful attention to the word that precedes it and also to the one that follows it.

What is the meaning of repent? do you know the meanings of repentance, atone and atonement? have you come across these in sentences? If not, try to look for their usage in a good dictionary.

We make mistakes when we do not know the exact meaning of a word and have not encountered its use in a sentence
